Incense and Smudging

Two-pronged smoke only rises
high enough to smolder
bright walls, producing antiquity.

Wash my nostrils
with rose on fire,
myrrh made into fumes
of white and jasmine too,
will burn but linger.

Many hours
incense will spend
on my pillow.
