The practice has developed over 3500 years beginning with the careful observation of people and the natural world responding to design and placement. From a bird feeder that attracts birds, gardens that are welcoming, and spaces that feel "right," feng shui offers design principles to follow to insure a harmonious life.
Many schools, or styles, of feng shui have developed, but remember that they are all, at their core, design principles (with sometimes strange terminology to help people remember them).
